The Concern keeps on the series of training workshops for specialists of Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant

On 16-17 July, at the premises of High-Voltage Union-RZVA LLC the specialists of High-Voltage Union Concern carried out a two-day training for representatives of the largest Russian power generation company – Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant. Topic: Peculiarities of operation and maintenance of BP6P vacuum circuit-breakers.

The training dealt with the following issues:

  • operation and maintenance of BP6P vacuum circuit-breakers
  • methods of vacuum circuit-breaker pole replacement
  • adjusting the contact pressure of circuit-breaker main terminals
  • work in warranty cases

The training involved using exhibited devices and covered theoretical as well as practical aspects.

The best designers and engineers of High-Voltage Union Concern carried out this training workshop.

Such training for the representatives of Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant is held for the third time. We already covered the visit of Saratov residents (Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant is situated 8 km from Balakovo, Saratov Oblast) in March and August 2012.

This training is timely and topical as Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant needs to upgrade 6 kV sections and to replace VES-6-40/3200 input circuit-breakers with BP6B circuit-breakers manufactured by High-Voltage Union Concern. It should be mentioned that the first delivery of BP6B circuit-breakers to Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant was performed in October 2011.
