High-Voltage Union Concern develops the Middle East market

From 23 till 25 May 2014, High-Voltage Union Concern took part in the 3rd International Innovation and Technology Exhibition INOTEX 2014» in Tehran.

The business mission of enterprises of Sverdlovsk oblast to Iran was organized by Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The official delegation was lead by Aleksandr Petrov, Vice-Chairman of the Government of Sverdlovsk oblast, and Svetlana Okulova, Vice-President of Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Tehran International Fair Ground hosted the equipment and technologies of about 150 companies from Russia, India, Iran, South Korea and other countries.

After the official opening of the exhibition, the stand of High-Voltage Union Concern was visited by the official delegation with Sorena Sattari, Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs of Iran. Among the members of delegation there also were Levan Dzhegarian, Extraordinary and Authorized Ambassador of Russian Federation in Islamic Republic of Iran, and Andrei Luganskiy, Russia Trade Representative in Iran. The High-Voltage Union Concern representatives told the honoured guests about the innovative products offered by the Company to the Iranian market as well as about the gained experience of project implementation in power supply industry of Iran.

It should be noted that the Company has long-standing business relations with Iran. Back in 1990-ies, High-Voltage Union Concern delivered 6-kV complete switchgear to Iranian ISFAHAN TPP and RAMIN TPP. The equipment has been operated for about 20 years. That is why the main objective of the mission to Iran was to resume the activity in the region and to establish relations with potential customers.

Nowadays, Iran is the largest electrical power producer in the Middle East. In the last 10 months alone, Iran has exported 10 000 GWh of electrical power to different countries in the region. And this volume grows every year. Apparently, such onrush of energy industry will have positive effect on the sales of electrical equipment.

This exhibition gave High-Voltage Union a chance to explore the current market in Iran, establish business contacts, and opened new opportunities for cooperation with Iranian companies. The further work on promising projects is to follow.
